Land Rover Defender 110 PUMA min. 10% or ZAR 10 000.00 [or whichever is greater]
There is no waiver on the excess payable.

- Fully agree and sign Safari4x4Hire´s/Suppliers Terms & Conditions of Rental
- 7 Days minimum rental for Land Rover Defender 110 vehicles
- Minimum drivers age: 23 years
- Valid & Unendorsed Driver’s & International Driver’s License (in English) required
- Credit Card always required for Rental & Excess Deposit
- Minimum 25% deposit required for Booking Confirmation
- 5% Handling Fee charged when paying by Credit Card

Vehicle Insurance
These insurance conditions are only applicable to our own cars/4x4’s in the fleet and not to any rentals that we offer.
Comprehensive Insurance
At Safari4x4Hire, all our vehicles are comprehensively insured for your total peace of mind. In South Africa the cost of Third Party liability is included in the price of fuel.
Safari4x4Hire takes care of all your insurance formalities and cross border authorization once we have received a mailed photocopy (not fax), or scanned e-mailed copy, of the Passport, Drivers license and Intl. Drivers license (in English) of all the designated drivers at least 10 working days before collection. The comprehensive insurance includes claims for accident, fire, theft and own damage – negligence is not covered.
The insurance covers travelling in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, Malawi*, Swaziland, Tanzania* and Kenya* (You will need a Carnet de Passage for driving within Tanzania and Kenya). Some of these countries require an additional insurance/Third Party, which you can get at the border of the respective country.
* Consult at the time of booking if vehicle is permitted/insured to travel to this country.
Excesses for vehicles
- Accident: 10% of claim or vehicle market value (min. R3 000.00)
- Theft / Hi-Jacking: 15% of claim or vehicle market value (min. R4 000.00)
- Under age of 25 and driver license older than 2 years, add 5% of claim (min. R1 750.00)
- Under age of 25 and driver license less than 2 years, add 10% of claim (min. R3 500.00)
- From a age of 25 and driver license less than 2 years, add 5% of claim (min. R1 750.00)
- Windscreen: 20% of claim (min. R 500.00)
- Accessories (each): 10% of claim (min. R1 000.00)
- Theft of radio: R1 000.00
Excesses for 4x4’s
- Accident / Theft / Hi-Jacking: 15% of claim or vehicle market value (min. R 15 000.00)
- Under age of 25, add R 2 000.00
- Driver license less than 2 years, add R 1 000.00
- Accessories (each): 20% of market value (min. R 750.00)
- Windscreen: 20% of claim (min. R 500.00)
- Theft of radio: min. R 1 000.00

For all Cross-Border travelling the Excess is as follows:

BMW R1200RT/R1200GS Adventure - R35 000.00
